2026 United Hearts of Arizona Scholarships

United Hearts of Arizona Scholarships reflect the diversity and passion of the donors who create them. These programs are made possible through their generosity, helping students in need of financial support turn their goals into reality and build a skilled, talented workforce for the future.
Eligibility Requirements
Baseline eligibility for scholarships will include the following requirements:
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must be a high school graduate in May 2026
- Applicant must reside in Pima County Arizona
- Applicant must have been accepted from a University or College based in Arizona for Fall 2026
- Applicant and family must be receiving any type of federal benefits(AHCCCS, food stamps or cash assistance)
Please note: UHAZ policy prohibits the disbursement of scholarships to for-profit educational institutions. If you intend to enroll or are currently studying at a for-profit institution, your application will not be eligible for these scholarships.

The deadline to apply for these scholarships
has been extended to July 15th at 5pm
Important Dates:
Applications Open: Monday, April 27, 2026 AT 6PM
Application Close: Friday, May 15, 2026 AT 5PM
Recipients notification: Monday, May 18, 2026 AT 6PM
Recipients Receiving Award: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 5pm
Document submission:
- A recommendation letter from a school attending teacher, counselor or principal
- Acceptance letter from University or College in the State of Arizona for Fall 2026
- Current Federal benefits award letter
- Transcript for 3.0 GPA or above
- A essay up to 500 words with 3 areas of focus:
- Academic/Career Goal Focuses on your educational and professional future.
- Overcoming Adversity Highlight resilience in the face of challenges.
- Community/Leadership Highlights volunteer work and leadership skills.
