1st Annual Covid 19 Memorial Services
& Celebration for Survivors

United Hearts of Arizona would like to say “Thank you” for the participation, collaboration and dedication to make this event successful.

We had a little over 100 people attending. Presentation of a Flower Wreath to honor the Covid 19 Victims, Presentation of colors, National Anthem, Tucson fire Department Bagpiper, Prayers, Songs, Testimonies, Candle Lights Vigil, Victims’ names Reading, and Statistics about Covid 19 in Pima County. We also had Pima County Health Department with Covid 19 Vaccines. I got mine there.

We appreciate Ward 5 Councilman Richard Fimbres for his support and dedication to this event by serving our community better and to Tucson Parks and Recreation Special events Ruben Kirkendall and Julie Vance for being available and making sure we had what we needed for this event.

Thank you to Arizona Bilingual & La Estrella de Tucson Newspapers for helping us to promote our event on their Media platforms and to KVOA channel 4, KGUN channel 9 and KOLD channel 13 for covering this event on their local news.

Special Thank you to our Master of Ceremonies, our great community member Mr. Paul Cicala from KVOA News 4. His Bilingual skills were appreciated. Gracias Paul!!

We closed the event with candle light time by turn in the battery operated candle to remember our love ones.

We hope next year to have more attendees and have more participation of the public.
